Our small neighborhood has an annual 4th of July parade. When we first moved in almost 25 years ago, I was surprised to hear that folks lined the way with their lawn chairs and watched. So here goes…it starts with a fire truck. I don’t remember seeing this one before…it seems vintage but shiny and cared for.
Next comes kids, big and little, some walking and some rolling along. This year there was a float for our swim team, the Sharks.
And finally comes the police car….
We wind up down at the pool for food and fun. It is a great way to see neighbors that you have not seen for a while and also kids that are all grown up. What a great tradition!
